CANDIDATE FILING PERIOD

- 26 midnight: Candidate filing period.
Certificate of announcement accepted by
filing offices:
-- Secretary of State for all offices on ballot in more than
one county.
-- County Clerk for all offices on ballot in only one county.
- January
21: State Holiday. Secretary of State's office
open regular hours 8:30-5:00.
- January
26: Last day to file in person at
correct filing office. Secretary of State open until
midnight. County Clerk's offices open at hours
announced locally.
- January
26: Last day to mail complete filing;
must bear U. S. postmark showing mailing before
midnight. Do not use non-postal express delivery
service.
