	Filings made with the Secretary of State as regular candidate filings during the 2008 filing period are grouped by date released. All candidates who file on the selected date are included in the results, including those who later withdrew. Please search for filings received after the available selection dates by the "Other Filing Type" search above. For a comprehensive list of all filings, choose "ALL - To-Date."

4	Search by Alternative Filing Type
	This search returns only candidates for the year selected. Official parties may fill ballot vacancies by appointment, and official parties that do not conduct a primary election fill the ballot by convention. Minor parties and independent candidates may seek nomination by petition. Candidates may file as official write-ins for the Primary Election only for State Executive Committee and for any office for the general election. Candidates who have withdrawn are NOT excluded from the results. See Official Withdrawals.
