Virginia law requires that any purchase of data for resale be
subject to reimbursement to the State for each instance of
resale. Customers who desire to purchase data for resale
must execute a contract with the Secretary of State, pay the
initial cost of the data, pay update fees in advance on a
quarterly or annual basis, if applicable, and pay a fixed
percentage of estimated sales, based on the terms of the
contract.
